Cool treat or party idea. Check out SUBZERO ice cream
by Andy Ragone; VeeRonna Ragone on 10/27/11This is the coolest ice cream in every sense of the word! For those of you who know my MIT bound son, this next part will come as no surprise. While we were traveling to Boston to check out some colleges, Michael picked up a book about doing original activities, including everything from a melting spoon to making ice cream with liquid nitrogen. He was dying to try all this stuff out. What I learned about liquid nitrogen is that even though the nitrogen itself is not expensive, the containers are very pricey and have to be handled by an expert. We were excited when we were at an event at Thee Wedding Warehouse and we saw SUBZERO ice cream & yogurt. It is a little like Cold Stone on steroids (and much more tasty). You see the cream and other ingredients in liquid form. You mix in nuts, graham crackers, and whatever else your heart desires. Then they freeze it on the spot! It takes a matter of seconds. If you have the chance, go visit SUBZERO and check it out. Better yet, have them at your next special event. Your guests will think it is SUPER COOL! www.subzeroicecream.com

Spotlight on The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess
by Andy Ragone; VeeRonna Ragone on 09/22/11
Andy and I had the pleasure of performing at an absolutley wonderful ceremony on September 17, 2011. This wedding was held at the Fairmont Princess. We were so impressed by our experience at this beautiful venue that we wanted to share it with you.
Amanda, the coordinator at the Princess, was wonderful--the bride could not say enough good things about her. There was even a tiny note on the back of each program saying how professional and personal she was. Not limited to one ceremony site, the Princess offers many different settings for weddings/events, from intimate and natural to regal and upscale. When I asked Amanda what she thinks sets the Princess apart from other venues for weddings or special events, she replied:
"The Princess will create the Wedding you've always dreamt of: Trust the Fairmont
If you are looking for a place to hold your wedding or special event, I would highly recommend The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. You will love it.

Fail to do this after tying the knot, and your marriage will crumble
by Andy Ragone; VeeRonna Ragone on 08/25/11
I blame the dude! Now don't get too defensive just yet. Here me out first, then you can send me the nasty emails.
When guys and gals date, they work like crazy to impress one another. Let's face it, both want to show their best faces and do what they can to woo one another. The gals fret about their looks (yeah, guys too) and the way they dress. They want to be attractive for their suitors. Guys? We impress in other ways (or at least we think we do). We're usually the crazy ones, doing stupid stunts and wearing lamp shades over our heads, all with the hope that the girls will notice. Funny thing is that they do.
So when the dating phase wraps up and we start thinking about getting married, we look ahead and go into the mode of rigorous planning, hoping and waiting for a great wedding night. The honeymoon follows, and it's back to normal. Things are new for awhile, but the newness wares off and new interests seem to crop up--usually in the areas of career, hobbies and family. Other life pursuits enter in, preoccupy our time and take us away from our previous interests--namely each other.
Here's where the 'dude' part comes in. Yes there are exceptions, and a growing number of gals are doing this too. Guys start going after other interests at the expense of spending time with their brides. The effort they made to impress her while dating has waned, and she notices she is no longer the sole object of his affection and attention. She thinks to herself, "Where did the magic go? Why isn't he affectionate towards me anymore?"
She then tells herself, "Fine, if he doesn't have time for me, then I'll find something else to do."
So, while wondering what has gone wrong, her focus now goes less towards being the object of his affection and now about her career, hobbies or wanting children.
The relationship now has many dividing interests at this time. While new goals and pursuits are good to go after, they should not come at the expense of our need to consistently renew our relationship with regular times of dating.
Yup! Dating. Why did it stop? A night at Arby's doesn't count. I'm talking about the guy going to great creative efforts to show his gal that he cares. No it doesn't have to be expensive (she sees the bills), just thoughtful.
"But what do I do?"
What did you do to impress her enough to marry you? Do that! But be creative. Do things with a new twist.
The same effort we put into the dating relationship, which was fueled by curiosity and creativity, needs to continue with great vigor in the marriage. Couples need to keep creatively dating and finding new things to do together. This effort will continue to blossom and ensure that relationships stay fresh and complete.
